X-Rays

I took Wesley to work with me this week for the "take your child to work day". I think he had fun, at least as far as I could tell. One of the fun things we did was take an X-Ray of his feet. I think he was quite amazed to see how many bones there were in his feet and the way you can see how they are still growing. Bones in children have areas that show up bright white on xray that show where the bones are still growing. These are growth plates. It is an amazing thing to think how a small baby will one day be up to 6 feet tall! It is a slow growth, thankfully.

Christian walk is the same way, we aren't going to grow all at once. That would be VERY painful. God gives the grace that we do not have to be perfect all at once it is a process. Just like in the X-Ray, when we are examined, there is evidence of growth. That is what is so important to God.

I Corinthians 13:10-12

"But when the end comes these special gifts will all disappear.
It is like this: When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does.
But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as god knows me now."
